      Party Time Management

A travel blog entry by mwall60 on Feb 02, 2015

      ... I
was talking about until around his second week-end straight of
parties of some sort with the neighbors. He had the same look on his
face as I must have had as we all arrived, a semi happy forced smile
and slow walk towards what was going to be yet another “Groundhog
Day”. The day I explained the 3 hour rule rule got the reactions I
was pretty much expecting. Kathy, who has a big heart and welcomes
everyone thought it was kind of stupid ...

Looking around it seems that we are yet again going to navigate our way through a gift shop. The kitschy key chains with blinking names (but never my name?) are on display, right next to palm tree mugs and picture frames shaped like sunglasses. I was prepared to patiently circle while we waited for nearly an hour for the next opening. Boaters who know this bridge will be amazed at what happened ...

Our start this rnorning found us aground in the mouth of Jeremy Creek after leaving Leland Oil dock in McClellansville, SC. While this wasn't on our plan it did provide the opportunity to eat a nice breakfast, coming unstuck from the oatmeal-like bottom just as we finished the last of our coffee. From then on the day unfolded as planned, catching the tides just right and hitting all waypoints on schedule. The incoming tide carried us up Winyah Bay and we actually sailed ...

      The Honeymoon Suite

... it is pretty much a ghost town. Everything is empty. The mini putt, water slides, amusement parks, and boardwalks are all silent and shut down. Even half the hotels are closed. We decided to take advantage of the off season and do what we haven’t done on this entire trip. We got a hotel room for the night. We went to one of the hotels and told them we were on our honeymoon (technically true). They gave us the discount room price and upgraded us to the honeymoon suite along with ...
