Today started sunny and we set off walking. Walked up hill and then down to the edge of Lake Derwentwater, to Hawes End, then along the shore to High Brandle How. Beautiful scenery of hills and the lake, but got wetter and wetter.

( actually next to it, you cannot walk ON an ancient monument.) Folk "walk" the whole wall, 73 miles. Walk described as "moderate" but rain and mud made it more like "strenuous".
