... van onto a spacious pitch and ended up taking about 10 attempts which only goes to show how tired I was. So it was an early night for me.
The next day I went exploring and found a lovely lake right next door to the site and an even lovelier village a few minutes walk away. Rochefort en Terre is reputed to be one of the most beautiful villages in France and I agree, it is a joy. To add to my pleasure there were some ...

... same route. They turned up for lunch at the same place about 40 mins after we arrived by which time the weather had cleared completely and it was also warm again. We meandered back to the hotel, got ourselves ready for dinner and headed out. Our days are so full that there's little time to write this each day. He makes paper out of either old recycled cotton cloth or hemp fabric. I'd never heard of that before. Anyway, he doesn't speak English so Janice, our guide, did the translation so it was a bit of fun too. We bought some samples to take home with us, I was so impressed. We had a ...

... 55kms for the day! Well done us. After a freshen up, Rob and I are out on foot to explore the village. It really is lovely. ( I know I keep saying that.) along the canal de midi, the houses mostly looked unkempt, few gardens and while quaint, the older parts of town looked a bit worn. Albert, our host at Argen Minervois, told us that the French don't much care for the way their houses look on the outside. Brittany, at ...
