      ... and buy cider and other apple based liquors, and we stopped in at Christian Drouin, one of many distilleries that makes cider, pommeau and Calvados.       ... rushed ....self imposed.....so punched in the first museum I saw in Caen into the gps...off I went....bada boom bada bing...I was at the Castle of Caen....k not a D-Day museum.....but was really cool....wandering around castles is fun. Hard to believe that this city was pulverized while being liberated.... and it wasn't really very far from the beaches but it took the Allies 6 weeks to get here...

      So off I went a wandering...inside the castle ...
