There visitors can view an outstanding variety of different artefacts from the Roman as well as medieval periods.     ... the inside was lovely. Two double rooms upstairs and the girls downstairs - Charlotte had a cute wee room above the water. Tiny little spiral staircase which went up and down. The walls were so thick and it was very tastefully decorated inside. No other buildings nearby just the river and hills. Sue (the owner) had left us a beef casserole to heat up plus so much food in the fridge etc which we were able to help ourselves to!
