Most of the shops were beach themed so that did not interest us. We did find one shop that sold some interesting kinds of sugar and some vanilla beans. After Dubai we had five great days at sea with temperatures of 30 and only dropping back to 27 at night with glassy seas and light winds. We did not need to put our pirate drill into action. We saw a few container ships and a few freighters but no military activity except for being buzzed by a P3 Orion aircraft leaving the Straights of Hormuz but could not identify its nationality as with all good military aircraft it came out of the sun, but probably US or at least NATO.
