    ... the Air Mauritius lounge. So we had a nice dinner and glass of Bordeaux while we waited for the 21:45 flight to Reunion. I went online and checked our mail and got caught up on some work while we waited.

    very crowded but we managed to get the last available table. We struggled even
    more with this French menu as the waiter had no English at all. The creole meal
    of vanilla chicken and a sausage ragout was different but tasted ok. At the end
    of the meal when we asked for the bill the waiter served us this spirit which
    he got out of a large container. We had no idea what it was but it burnt going
    down because of its obvious high alcohol content.

    ... a large hotel complex. Archbishop Macarios had a house while he was in exile on Mahe. As our driver had spent most of his life there and it is such a small place he seemed to know every second person we passed particularly near his village. The scenery on the west coast was magic with coral lagoons lined with palm trees and small villages backed by steep hills.     We wake early so a bowl of tea is sipped back in bed, from where we can enjoy the view before getting up to finish packing and eat breakfast.
