Paseo del Faro 134, (formerly Monte Igueldo Hotel) San Sebastián - Donostia, Basque, Spain and Canary Islands, 20008, 34-943-210211
Tom and Sue took the day to zip to Bilbao (1:45 south of Biarritz) to see the famous Guggenhiem Museum. Wow, what a building!! The exhibits pale in comparison, but still we enjoyed a solid 4 hours at the museum. Afterwards, we drove back to San Sebastian where Sue introduced me to Alona Berri, the ...
Biarritz, Aquitaine, France kramertownI don't really need to tell you what we did do I? Take one part playground, one part beach, and one part sunset and you have a Kramer day in Biarritz.

Biarritz, Aquitaine, France kramertown... Dispite the language barriers they had a lovely time exploring the basque country side. What did we do? Why go to the beach, of course!!

Biarritz, Aquitaine, France kramertown... only look good. After our first night, we realized they sit out on the bar all day, so who knows how long they sit there. I had a horrible stomac ache after our first night... no wonder. For our second tapas experience, we ordered off the menu and we had Kanguroo Tacos and Shark. It was absolutely delicious.

As for ...
San Sebastián - Donostia, Basque, Spain and Canary Islands sofenjon... and the odd jogger out. I took a bus to the centre, and tried to grab breakfast at the Mercado del Este, but it was closed. Nooooo!!! Instead, I picked up some food to go from the Croissanteria, a little bakery in the bus station. Santander can be an expensive town, especially in El Sardinero, and this place offered wicked value – I paid just under 6 euros for a sandwich, drink, and ham/cheese croissant.

The bus arrived in San Sebastian much ...
San Sebastián - Donostia, Basque, Spain and Canary Islands pwong... still were on the bus home by 5:30. I think if you were looking for a place you could spend half a day on the beach and do one other activity the other half mid-summer, this would be your place. We got there around 10:30. We walked around for a couple of hours, watched someone fishing for what appeared to be giant boulder (no luck) and then up through a vertical park with a cemetery, castle and amazing views. We then went to a great tapas place. Spent quite a bit of ...
San Sebastián - Donostia, Basque, Spain and Canary Islands claeschWe woke up, threw on our packs and made the short walk to the metro. We took the metro to the Chamartin train station for our 6.5-hour train ride to San Sebastian. The country around San Sebastian is beautiful and green (a lot like parts of BC, but the mountains aren't quite so high). We checked into our hotel, did some laundry, and then got ready to head out. On our way to Parte Vieja (the old section of town) we came across a loud crowd with a lot of noise coming from the ...
San Sebastian, Spain josh.lambden... and set up camp at the same place we had the previous night. we spent the rest of the afternoon people watching and relaxing. Soon after we had gone to sleep we were awoken by the sound of a cannon. after a little panic we realized that it was the begining of a massive fireworks show and we had quite luckily situated ourselves directly beneath it. it sooooo cool not only was it one of the biggest firezorks shows i have ever seen but there is defeinetly so,ething ...
Pamplona, Spain scottshep... to make a plan with my two fraternity brothers to meet up in town the next evening. We actually meet up and spend the evening walking the bull run route and buy our white pants, shirts, and red scarf and sashes. I get really lucky that evening because I walked back to lock up my motorcycle before we walk around some more, only to find a tow truck trying to figure out how to strap on and tow it. I get in a scuffle with the guy and a cop gets involved. Neither can speak ...
