... ways like Turi woods but I do like hazel and chestnut trees for a change. Then there's always the chance here of seeing a snake - which I did! And the slugs are so pretty. I guess they're an alternative starter to snails but not sure I'll be trying them. Ok so missed yesterday. Driving so no internet. Lovely drive south. Told sat nav to avoid toll roads so had great route using main and not so main roads into an area south of the Loire en route to Royan. Weather quite warm but not very sunny with the clear blue skies I had sort of expected. It's great to have daylight so late even end of ...

Lovely couple of days with Di, Laura, Iain and Sophia at the Daniels French House... All was well until I left them for a hour and then all hell broke out... Laura informs me 'Linda has let the Donkeys out...' Now I've heard of 'Who let the Dogs out...' But not Donkeys...! It appears on a walk along the country lanes to feed the two ...

Up and away by 10am, had a few disagreements with Miss Snooper today, she wanted us to go on the motorway and we didn't! We won in the end. The road was lovely, through little villages and towns, which were a bit more awake on a Sunday, as Andy pointed out if we stick to motorways we miss these lovely villages, I had to agree even if I was driving and the roads In between were windy and up ...
