Anyway it’s been an eventful couple of weeks and looking
forward to my first day off in 3 weeks!! Yay!! Kate and I are heading into
Paris. Not sure exactly what we will do this trip in but I’ll be sure to take
lots of piccies with the new camera!! Damn camera better be worth it!!

... We were treated to a grand lunch and dinner, with lots of champagne, wine, baguettes, frommage, bbq.....we just seemed to eat continually!
The weather was glorious so Max had a swim with Judith, the boys played soccer and basketball in the garden and we all went for a walk around Villemandeur. Not far from the house was a small castle with a moat which is now used as a music school.

What a delightful flavorful meal!!!! Amuse Bouche (some small tasty bits served to whet/amuse the appetite): a small rectangular plate with a delicately fried shrimp balanced on a tip of pastry, a tiny glass of cold fresh potage des petits pois(fresh pea soup-bright green-not from dried peas), a ceramic spoon with a sweet melon ball on top of a jelled port wine(wine jello!) ... make a good start towards our passage across Paris before it has a chance to get busy. We have accommodation booked in Dieppe for tomorrow night.
Forgot to say: we found an Oriental all-you-can-eat buffet for our evening meal - I imagine they might turn us away should we ever darken their doors again, having seen how much we got through!
