... means washer women. Just down the hill from is is the old Lavandier-where women came to do the laundry over stone and wood wash surfaces. There is a small clear swift running stream passing through a stone shelter.

It is quiet here. Church bells sound every hour and on Sunday they ring long and loud over the town. Doves perpetually call and I am sure I hear chickens softly clucking over the back garden wall.
