Tonight we met up with Karine and said our goodbyes, it is hard to believe that the month is done!
Update: Forgot to mention that with the State election called back home we sent off the request for a postal vote and were surprised to find the voting slip arrived within a week so we got the chance to do our duty and vote. If who we voted for only crosses the line by two votes then they can thank us.
... and laughter in the future.
The whole family then went for an afternoon walk where we took some Australia Day photos. This drew some interesting looks from a few of the locals, including the Mayor who came over for a chat and wished us a Happy Australia Day.
Nathan was in the photography mood and went out tonight to get some 'show winners'. It was quite cold out but hopefully the photos he took will be worth it.
... was frozen solid. It is an interesting feeling walking on pebbles which you expect to move under your feet being frozen solid. Late in the morning we were joined in Montpezat-de-Quercy by Bastian who drove up from Toulouse to spend the day with us. We had a nice day with him and he was very keen to find out about Australia from us as he is thinking of taking 12 months leave from the police and travelling around Australia and New Zealand. ... theatres which are used as classrooms for schools visiting the museum. The museum built on what we have been learning over the past few days and provided an excellent opportunity for Kate and Roy to actually read first hand accounts of the actions of the Resistance fighters such as smuggling allied soldiers over the Pyrenees Mountains into Spain, and has left us all wanting to learn more.
... museum, Kate and Roy decided they just had to go and play in the nearby park. At a beautiful 2 degrees, why not! The kids had a fun time trying out all the play equipment with the highlight being a standing see-saw as well as dragging mum and dad into relay races over logs burried end up on the ground. We were not the only ones at the park and it seemed quite a popular spot for families even in the middle of winter.
