... an Ammonite and cool rocks from one stall then we headed home for some lunch. In the afternoon we went for a great bike ride through the countryside and explored some forest on foot (which ended up in a large broccoli field!) When we got back we played and intense game of Scrabble and then relaxed in the spa soaking up the view down the valley. Emily has some home made potato and leek soup on the stove which we will have with some fresh baguette for dinner, just ...

The 360deg views were amazing as well as the ability to built such a structure on the side of a cliff. Afterwards we headed to the Bastide town of Cordes sur Ciel for more medieval sights, and lunch! We met Stephane at Castelnau who then directed us out to the property. Well we weren't disappointed. Great views, large well appointed house with underfloor heating, wood fire (with plenty of wood outside), excellent ...

After rising this morning about 8am we proceeded to pack up our things and clean the apartment. We had a 12:30pm train to catch and had to leave by about 11am to get to the main line station for the TGV. Lucky we got there early as we were a bit confused by the platforms and the carriage numbers. We found the right train, but didn't realise the carriage numbers were displayed in small almost ...

... museum, Kate and Roy decided they just had to go and play in the nearby park. At a beautiful 2 degrees, why not! The kids had a fun time trying out all the play equipment with the highlight being a standing see-saw as well as dragging mum and dad into relay races over logs burried end up on the ground. We were not the only ones at the park and it seemed quite a popular spot for families even in the middle of winter.
