We spent last night in a more modern hotel near the railway station at Cahors. We didn't arrive until after seven thirty. So it was straight up to our rooms with the bags and then off into the old part of two to have some much needed dinner, as we had missed lunch completely. Enjoyable dinner where I had steak and the others had fish, steak tarter etc all quite nice ..actually We spent the next morning looking around Cahors.. Very nice old town ...

We. Arrived on Estaing via the lovely taxi driver who had taken us to the hospital, back and forth yesterday. What a perfect gentleman he was and with perfect English which helped a lot.. The end of our adventure on the boat had arrived so we left it behind and caught the taxi to Marmande. This was were we all needed to catch the train to continue our journeys in different directions.
