... the area each little hamlet has built an Aire and provides services for us to use, desperately trying to encourage us to stay a while. We are going to, it's lovely. Clive's pinged the only thing that appears to be open each afternoon. A bar selling German beer! The other shops appear to have just been abandoned. One still has old dusty books on its shelves, another has an old typewriter on the back table and an old Supermarket type grocers still has packet foods in its ...

She has visited Australia and New Caledonia...a number of French people say they have been here. She has relatives in Melbourne. So I head out to the station, trundling my wheelie bag, for the bus I am expecting about 11. However it transpires that ...

... Voila.... My electronic ticket to St Pancras arrives at the electronic machine! I bid farewell to Pete who will compete in the Ramsgate Golf Croquet champs on Saturday and Sunday, and head off on my adventure. The train to St Pancras through the lovely Kent countryside is great. St Pancras is very busy as it's Friday, and lots of English people seem to be heading for France. I queue for my ticket, the loo, queue for my departure check, for security, passport control....luckily not ...
