Mercure Luxembourg Centre 2m Luxembourg City

We were on the road by 10 am, just as planned. Traffic is a bit heavier than we would like, but you work with what you're handed. It&#8217;s supposed to take about 6 hours to get to Luxembourg. Of course I needed to visit Luxembourg, hiding away there between France, Germany and Belgium. It is the fifith smallest country in the world. It is very hilly and surrounded by trees. The hostel is down at the bottom of a cliff, yay! The city of course is quite small, but it is surrounded by ruins and forest which makes it quite a unique city in amongst the hustle and crowds of all the other major cities. The people there speak French and their own language, Luxembourgish I suppose.

On Thursday I got up and walked the city of Speicher and looked at the whole town, it really isn't that big at all. It is a small city and most people either work on the Air Force Base or they drive to Bitburg or Trier to work. Anyways it was nice to see the small city and where my parents lived for a few years. ... too. The only cheap place we saw open was the kebab shop. I got the Lahmacun Spezial, or something like that. It was pretty much a kebab in a wrap. We were tired of kebabs, but oh well. We then saw that H and M was open, so we shopped for a while. I found a tank top, a dress, a t-shirt, and a pair of sweat pants because I didn't bring enough with me to be comfortable. ... small country, all the cartoons on TV and in the newspaper seemed to not have words, just gestures and sound. The weather was kind of grey, the food was good. We discovered Croque Monsieurs (like grilled cheese sandwiches with ham -delish!)
