Cestou do Dunedinu a na poloostrov Otago Peninsula jsme se jeste zastavili na par zajimavych mistech, nejvic nam v pameti utkvel mys Shag Point, hlavne kvuli tomu jmenu (to shag = soulozit, teda sluzne receno). Hodnou chvili jsme si mysleli, ze mys byl pojmenovan ze zrejmych duvodu. Narazili jsme tu totiz na velkou parici ...

... boulders at Moeriaki which were also impressive. Camped in a quiet spot near a beach which was very peaceful. Caught the tailend of a service at St Pauls Cathedral in Dunedin this morning. Interestingly the hymn played was the same as at the funeral service of our Auntie Betty last month( quite poignant). Our travels continue , stay tuned. Thanks for all the comments

She died of cancer in the 70s, but it's the 100 year anniversary of her birth, apparently, so they've done an exhibition of over 130 of her pieces. Really excellent. Ausserdem gab es Yellow Eyed Pinguine an diesem Strand, recht viele Jugendliche aus dem letzten Jahr, die noch ohne Partner und ohne Nest waren, daher sich nahe am Strand aufgehalten haben und sich mit den anderen Jugendlichen unterhalten haben... Einen Blauen Pinguin gab es auch in seinem Nest, den durften wir fotografieren:-) Eine Robbenkolonie gab es auch noch, aber nur die drei Deutschen und die Koreanerin haben die Kraft ...

... the little Blue Penguins, they only grow to 30cm tall and come out at night so we got there at the perfect time. The next morning I got up early to walk around the park that joins on to the place we were staying. When we were both up we had breakfast and set off for our next destination, Lake Tekapo. ON the way we came across Lake Punakaki where we had a break before heading off again to Tekapo.
