... In fact, sunset was at about 9.30pm, after which the sky retains serene blue/purple hue which seems to characterise European Summer. I am struggling with the lack of sunlight on return to Melbourne!
On our last night in France, we had dinner at La Chanceliere in Montbazon, the village near our Chateau. It was recommended by one of Yvonne's (our Travel Agent) clients but unfortunately the oyster ravioli is a winter speciality. Nevertheless, the food was superb.

Thank God for the GPS and the Audi s4!! This place is really nice... our room is austrian themed. We arrived and checked the place out, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant...the menu was in French so we had a fun time translating everything....I have un petite phrase book that really helps!! We also went down the road to the cellars (cave in french), and had a wine tasting and bought some wine. Tommorrow we are going to see some Chateaux!!!

... down on a bacon con carne random meal which was suprisingly nice then did a create of beer in an attempt to rebuild team spirit. Obviously we talked quite philosophically about stuff none of us remember. It was a clear hot night and we decided to leave off the waterproofing for our tents. Yes, yes it did then decide to rain in the night.

... to sleep due to spending our time looking for Olly. Looking at the state of us and not sure if our friend even existed the police decided to take us to a drugs rehabilitation centre. Here we were given gone off pancakes and sheets with three different types of stain on them. There was also a slug on the ceiling. . . . . . Olly was spending the night in a hotel. Tempted by sleeping on the floor I braved the matress and fell asleep laughing (like a metal)

... 8220;maze”. So he started to scream and ran off towards the maze. Alex and I could have stayed there all day. Alex hid in a hedge and was scaring people as they walked past and Ben and I had a race to se we could get out the fastest. I won as I ran straight through all the hedges and Ben said I cheated so I said “follow me” and took him past Alex and then Alex grabbed him and pulled him into the hedge.

... his. My favourite was the tank! I am sure everyone knows what a tank is, but Leonardo’s was a cone on wheels. AND WE COULD SPIN IT!!!
I thought the Loire Valley was a nice place, especially if you like castles! And I had loads of fun.

... We spend the next hour or so walking around and exploring the remains of this old castle. Also, on display is the history and artwork of a French cartoonist. Great work. If I could speak or read French I would definitely buy the stuff. ... to the bakery each day to get fresh bread in the morning, house doors aren't locked when they leave. What a life. And now, on to lunch! We are told proudly by Vincent that Guinola is "the best cooker in France!". And I get a free lesson. She gives me a couple of easy tasks to perform to help her make some of the best home cooked cuisine I've eaten in a long time. Filet Mignon (pork) with onions, mushrooms, bacon type things, with hard cider ... cooked for hours to make a ...

... syrup for the kids' water which they loved, and ended up giving me a free glass of cider when I asked what our neighboring table was drinking!). Just to get the experience of another restaurant, we decide not to order desserts at this place ... and we leave happy with our 20 euro dinner. Three gillettes, two drinks for the kids, hard cider for me = happy times! As we leave, the waiter informs me there is a free show that occurs BEFORE the light show, but he doesn't ...
