... Michel, I've always wanted to see it.  Check!  Done.  It's a chateau built over a river with arches, towers, and a chapel as well.  There was an elegance to this chateau that was different than Chambord.  The decorating was much better too :-) Every room had fresh flowers which were so simple and gorgeous.  Mom was in awe of them.  We took a quick walk through the gardens and headed to the car.  Now off to Poitiers for our next hotel and ...

... without a soul around at all - the photographers dream. We found a cafe to have mushroom omelettes for breakfast and by the time we had finished the Abbey had opened for us to explore. We got the English headsets so we could find out all the history of this amazing huge abbey that started being built in 10th century. It did not disappoint, fascinating place and worth the drive down to the Normandy coast.

Rented a car at the Paris airport and off to look for castles in the Loire valley. very quick trip/overnight. it took so long to get out of paris proper that by the time we got to the valley it was dinner time. We stayed in Blois at a recommended B&B...hard to find but a good find with a nice room in a very old building...and a bathroom we could turn around in! walked around the town ...

Eram cerca de 4:30pm e ainda tínhamos Cheverny pela frente... que fechava as 6pm... mas tínhamos que chegar as 5pm para ver os cães de caca do castelo sendo alimentados... mais uma novidade no percurso..... Chegamos pontualmente as 5pm e fomos direto ver os cães.... que impressionante... famintos... cerca de 50 caes.... se amontuando e brigando por comida... na verdade pela carne... na verdade mesmo tinha ...

... para um chocolate quente no Bigot.... mas nem se comparou ao do Angelina em Paris..... Em frente uma loja de biscoitos e logico que a Deia fez a festa.....

Já era tarde e não queríamos perder a hora do checkin no Chateau de Colliers. Assim, pegamos estrada novamente. Já eram 6:30hs e teríamos mais 45 min de estrada, e o chekin era ate 7pm somente. Liguei para eles avisando do atraso, sem problemas.
