It wasn't cloudy all day and there was a lot of clear skies and the views where fantastic, so in the afternoon I went to to local town to ...

A few few hours later, as we approached the Polish border, we were driving through a small skiing town. It was beautiful, but we weren't sure if we were on the right route. As we came around a corner, we saw a Slovakian police officer standing in the middle of the road, waving us over. In broken English, this officer ...

A travel blog entry by whelan_89 on Dec 20, 2014

Off to Morskie Oko today (once we finally dragged ourselves out of bed!). Morskie Oko is a lake in the middle of apt he Tatras mountains and national park. We had to catch a bus from zakopane 40 minutes out of town and then it took two hours to walk there and two hours to walk back. It was half price entry with our student cards (2.50 zloty each- €1 all up) and slightly inclined on the way there. It was 9km each way. As we started walking we could see more and more snow we ...
