Can't believe how early we had to get up this morning - 3:30am NZ time (which is 1:30am Aus time) to get to the airport.
But it was all good. Watched the Twilight movie on the plane on the way home and now i cant wait to see New Moon!
Coming through customs in Australia was funny as i had to go in the high security line due to my Maouri souviner that i brough back with me that is classified as a weapon. I was just glad that Border Security wasnt there to film me haha.
... ale was quite interesting although my favourite was of course the Belgian style Saison. I kept eyeing off the lush looking pretzels on the bar but talked myself out of it given I wasn't actually all that hungry! We left with a few more bundles of clinking glass and I carefully set out on my bicycle again with our precious cargo in my panniers.
We chose to ride back to the caravan park via the cycle path, rather than through town as we'd done previously. This was ...
... police occured.
We then spent a few hours at Beechworth, an historic little town which still has an operating telegraph station. We went on a scenic drive along the gorge (which was quite narrow with our big bus!)
After we headed down to the town of Bright and then into Mount Beauty, stopping at the overlooks of the town.
We arrived at Beechworth only half an hour away from Wanganderry. As we arrived in Beechworth,we found a caravan park.We took it and started putting up the caravan. While mum and dad were taking up the caravan,Marc and I were riding our bikes to the park and throwing the frisbee. Now today was actually the first day we'd been in a caravan park. For dinner mum went looking for a shopping centre. When mum came back she had bought our dinner and some salad. We ...
Beechworth, Victoria, Australia macphails... the details of our lives. Jason's kids had 'adopted' the kids from another family, so all us adults sat around for the afternoon talking about our relative journeys, the benefits of various cars (a very important topic when one travels all the time) and then the lady from the other family piped up with 'Our house has ghosts in it'. This led to a fascinating discussion on the activities of these ghosts, I offered my opinion that they were not ghosts at all, but demons, and they ...

Albury, New South Wales, Australia tstewy... dangerous to be let lose on the world?? Well - I have purchased a card that should enable me to access the internet from here, so later this evening, I will see if I can load this to the blog. One hint in using the map to see where we are - the map should be able to be "zoomed" rather than just being one blob on the map of the world. Oh sh... a great thump on the roof and a possum is running about - just about all I needed right now!
Gerogery, Australia newtripper... on the site - these sites aren't all that level, in fact we are on the wrong side of this site because the other side looks like a hill). Despite putting a chock under the wheel wedged into the ramp, when we unhitched, the van moved slightly forward, and we had to do a bit of fiddly stuff with the car to get it out from under the hitch. Setting up took about a hour and I was quite tired by that ...
Albury, Australia newtripper... of 'roos, millions of cockatoos, a turtle (dead unfortunately but it was in the water & we did see it saw it still counts). We also saw some wild dogs which were definately dead. Apparently wild dogs are a bit of problem in the area so one fella known locally (probably) as Mick Mad-Dog-McMad takes it upon himself to hunt the dogs & then string their carcasses in front of his house. He gives a lot to charity though so don't be too judgemental. During the day ...
