Another hot day, on the road by 6am to try and beat some of the heat. A short day today only just over 300km into Mt Isa.
Arrived and bought some yummy fresh bread and jam donuts from Brumby's.
Booked into Discovery CP for $38, they didn't charge for the girls.
Set up, had lunch and then a refreshing swim. ...

After a peaceful night sleep at Mary Kathleen, we made the short drive into Mt Isa first thing in the morning. Having previously been to "The Isa", there was one thing we were keen to do as a family- the Hard Times Mine Tour. Hard Times Mine is a purpose built underground mine experience for tourists developed following the end of all tours into working underground mines. ... the caravan park. Well the fireworks were good but the show went on for the better part of and hour and a half. he only lit on fireworks it last 5-10 seconds but it showered the area in sparks and flaming balls. so up it all went in a blaze of glory. Firetrucks, police, locals, scary old people in their PJ's all running around. it was not pretty. especially the oldies in their PJ's. but it was the most exciting thing about Mount Isa.
