It is 9am and the temp is 32 with a high of 37 a little cooler from yesterday's 43. ... a natural spring. But then again so do crocodiles! A National Parks ranger with a familiar accent tapped on my van door early one morning collecting camping fees. "Kan jy Afrikaans praat 'ou pellie?" Het ek gevra. (Do you speak Afrikaans my friend) "Ja seeker Ou bass" he replied, saying "yes" and calling me an old man. "My naam is Kel", I informed him. "Ek is Johannes Jacobus Van de Merwe", he proudly informed me. "Ooh my gaats, could you ever have a ...
