... bit of lunch we all hopped into the car and drove to Grouw . This is a little place 15 kilometers out of Leeuwarden and where the family including Tiny used to go with their boats. Tiny used to sleep in the hotel and her room was permanently booked looking out to where the rest of the family were on the boat. ... lunch and then the four of us went into the city.  I just love Leeuwarden.  We walked around for awhile and then went on a little boat through the canals.  I learned quite a lot about the history of Leeuwarden that no doubt I had learned at school but seeing that, that is a long time ago I had forgotten quite a lot.  Before we got back we saw Christien&#8217;s sister in law Alie on her bike, camera in hand taking photo ...

Terschelling West etc.  Had some lunch(typically dutch "warm sandwiches" at the seaside of course and then walked around looking at everything.  At 6pm we arrived back home after a long and emotional day and cooked dinner.  We had potatoes with raw witlof just like mum used to make and a piece of steak.  Yum, Yum.  The weather is still fine not cold now we will see what tomorrow brings."

They are very proud of this as there are many much larger places close by that maybe called cities but have missed out on being included.<br><br>One of the things that is rather difficult to get used to is the vision of a sailing boat seemingly sitting in the middle of a paddock hidden somewhat by the farmers crops but moving along at a steady pace. ... Gourmetten meal again with Petra's family. Sooo much food, soooo full. Gourmetten is the indoor barbecue type device that we had at christmas time also. This time I have included a photo of it.
