was intrigued when about 8:30 the barkeep unfurled a screen on a side
wall, not unlike in old school days, then turned on a projector and
turned on the French equivalent of ESPN and the bar watched an
Australian rules football match between two French rivals. Good

left over Pringles and off to bed for the next part of the journey,
Annecy in the morning.

The other inspiration was watching the Tour de France this summer as
one of the many legs was through the French Alps that I had visited
before and watching the race in HD TV, I thought of driving through
the areas that were so beautifully portrayed on TV this summer. I
had visited Chamonix twice in my travels and decided to hang out
there as a base and drive around the mountains before the snow season
begins .

Tired of travelling all day we decided to stop in a small Swiss town thinking the costs would be lower than in a high tourist centre. NOT!! The cheapest room we could find was 110.00 swiss francs. The reason I went to France was to go skiing at chamonix/Mont Blanc, which i did and it was fantastic and i will be doing again very soon before i get tied up.. while i was there i did the world famous ski run Valley de blanche you ski over a glacier. which is amazing, the veiws you get on theis run are spectacular. definately take a camera.
