Accurate as per details on website.
Good central location for rail, bus and ferry terminals. Room was clean and quiet. I would suggest that free wifi time is increased to an hour in 24hours.

The hotel was in a great location for me. We had caught the Sky Bus from Auckland Airport and it was just a matter of getting off the bus and walking across the road to The Mercure Auckland. The hotel is within walking distance of the harbour so it was easy enough to wheel our luggage down to the Ship.

      Day 85 - Sat 21st. Feb.Rotorua.
This morning we travelled through lush Waikato farmland to Waitomo Caves. Saw the amazing underground Glow Worm Grotto by boat and walk through the limestone caves. Later we followed the Waikato River, New Zealand’s longest river, into Auckland. Enjoyed views from Mt. Eden before continuing to hotel. In …

Once back down from Russell I had an overnight stay during Auckland's 175th Anniversary weekend. Party atmosphere with the roads around the harbour closed off, three stages

... tourist access to Doubtful was a spin off. Prior to the road it was a three day walk. Doubtful is longer, deeper, and more spectacular than Milford. As we have had overnight rain and today is raining intermittently the waterfalls are well charged and plentiful, it is understood there are over 400 waterfalls on Doubtful. The Real Journeys boat, the "Patea Explorer" is excellent for viewing the Sound especially in wet weather and as it rains 2 ...
