Bangalore, Karnātaka, India darkstar... one I can understand, the kid being upset by a tall strange man with a goatee speaking an alien language and pointing a camera at him.

Some people refuse to be photographed, and I’ve had to walk away from more than one good shot because the subject said no. And some beggars universally, want money. But by and large people are happy to be snapped, and I am not shy to take advantage. I’ll take 6 or 7 or even 10 pictures to get the right one, and ...
Bangalore, Karnātaka, India darkstar... homes all the time....India is so big, yet so small at the same time!!!

*Cold: I got the cold just like all the other flat mates....Not too bad, just sore throat and then runny nose.....But I had some super hot (spicy and temperature) Sambar I cooked and it was great!!! I felt much better.....

*It was nice to just chill and not do much in Bangalore and I had great fun.....alright next dispatch will be from Rajasthan!!! Take care,

Sumeeth
Bangalore, Karnataka, India indiatrip2009... names, though. It's not a good excuse, but the unique syllables/sounds that make up most of the names here is hard enough for my mind to process, nonetheless trying to remember all of the 30+ names of people I've been meeting each day. With time, this will hopefully be less of a problem.

Jeremy gave me a tour of the full campus this morning (Saturday), including the small (25' x 15') campus general store. Although eating mostly fresh rice and vegetables ...

Bangalore, Karnataka, India hotelinmysore... made from whatever is found - plastic, bamboo, wood, metal -right in the midst of all the affluent residences, if not beside.

So needless to say i was quite comfortable in Vikas' home and neighbourhood, except i was the only white person so staring was still prevalent. I went for a few wee wanders around and was happy with that as my first day when i went into the 'city' was challenging and again frustrating ...
Bangalore, Karnataka, India tracymiller... warming - to say the very least and this literally makes breathing disgusting - if not difficult lol and secondly because i feel as though i walk in a land where anything could happen - women dressed in the most beautiful sarees full of bright colours against their long dark hair - fresh flowers picked and placed on huge temples along the road side - the sweet pollens scenting the air, mixed with the smell of fresh juices and roasted ...
Bangalore, Karnataka, India pixieadventure... I could get these though customs, but here's the pic - Andy and I met up with Sunil and Nikhil who have been with PSO for about a year (working for UK.) They gave Andy and I a crash tour followed by some coffee in the cafeteria. We had lunch at a swank hotel up the street and returend for more meetings. The commute back was a bit more interesting as our driver took us on some roads that I am not certain were really roads. I could have ...
Bangalore, India rizzorc... fences and then his little brother sticks his foot in the crack, trying to jump onto the smaller fence. They both had huge backpacks, and there were little glass s******** some of the fence tops (a normal thing around here), so it was impressive to see them succeed in getting over the fence. It was just a totally random thing to watch, and it all started with just looking at cute kids. This was probably the highlight of my day, by the way. After ...
Bangalore, Karnataka, India ruthbarz... stuff onto the road. To top it off all of sudden he doesnt speak English either! So Hastie and I are standing on the road somewhere between Goa and Banaglore and have no idea exactly how far out of Banaglore we are. All we could do is pick up our packs look at which way the bus was pointing and start walking that way! Eventually we came to a toll booth where we managed to fight our way onto another bus and wing it from there. God Bless dumb Aussie luck!
