... the lard/fat stuff on the table was for.

We walked around some more, past another square area. We found the famous statue of the Donkey, Dog, Cat and Rooster near the town hall. The statue is from the Brothers Grimm tale of The Town Musicians. We never made it to the harbor or to the Universum Bremen science center since we had to get back for an event in Braunschweig. It was a fun day and I will definitely go back to explore more, maybe with a better plan for the day!
Bremen, Germany plcouttsiepSo after I got back on the train to Koblenz I feel asleep and woke up right on time to get off in Bremen so things were good until I left the train station and realized it was 6 in the morning I was still practically asleep with only 4 hours of sleep in the past 36 hours and this part of town looked like a **** hole. Also my phone just died and I didn't want to spend any money on any of the food that was open at this hour. So I started to walk around ...
Bremen, Bremen, Germany drunkendidier... cute. The centre has lots of old buildings that are pretty. It also has a area that has all little windy streets which is pretty cool. Oh yeah, Becks beer is also from this area and they have a brewery here,

I really have just wandered around the town and rested up as I needed a bit if a break before heading up to Scandinavia in the next few days. This was a nice little town to do that in - aside from the excessive rain today it has been pretty good.
Bremen, Bremen, Germany alanna.holloway... is the same, we can all come together on common ground.

interesting to think about when just today our cross cultural mgt professor was talking about divisions in Europe. take for instance the conflict along the Serbian-Croatian border takes it roots from when Christian crusaders sacked Constantinople... nights like tonight serve as proof that with understanding, compassion and a little booze, the world might know peace.
Bremen, Bremen, Germany jrmelandoso today, around 5pm... local time we all did a bit of pregaming and around 8 we decided to go to a bar that has shots for a euro a piece.. along the way we stopped to get a doner, that's 3/3 for anyone keeping track at home... well Eric and i went to find the Euro Bar without much success.. after ...
Bremen, Bremen, Germany jrmelando... s student sat me down for awhile, and explained our research here in greater detail. I learned about the different arms of my research professor's investigative team, and how their work fits together. Basically, there are people that work off-shore performing in-situ tests, drilling cores, and collecting seismic data; then people who work at the University, testing sediment parameters in lab, and assessing the underlying geology of the project area to see how safe it is for putting in a ...
Bremen, Bremen, Germany mankyoldboot23... Main Train Station) and hopped a bus over to the river, where it was the first night of this huge Breminale music/food festival. Seriously, I did not see one German who was not walking around enjoying either 1) a beer 2) a cigarette or 3) a sausage, or some combo of 1, 2, and 3! It was funny. I ended up ordering a falafel with some very barbaric German that I learned earlier that afternoon ("Ein falafel bitte!") and the lady pretty much figured out what I wanted, and how ...
Bremen, Bremen, Germany mankyoldboot23... lady waiting on us to tell me what the spoon was for, I settled for being a partial fool and ate the potato in my nomal American fashion: scooping out the potato-y goodness with a bit of the sour cream with every bite. No member of the potato police arrived so, if I did offend, it was very minor. Your 'keeping his pinky raised when he drinks his tea' pal, Davy
Bremen, Germany davy_gam... and see the brewery, I was quite excited!! Unfortunately, when we got there, the english tour had already started and they didn't have another one that day so we had to content ourselves with the giftshop! Nevertheless, it was still pretty cool and I can say that I went to the Beck's brewery!! Once I bought my mug, we headed back towards the marketplace and made a stop in a place called the Schnoor where they had all these nice little shops! Some were for tourists ...
Bremen and Bonn, Germany natfatica... cool Trig, play it cool! I quickly got to my feet and assured the motorist I was OK. It was a wake-up call. A little embarassed and recognising my weakened after state I headed straight back for the camp site. All the exitement earlier and pushing hard to make up time had worn me down. I'd covered about 50 miles. I camped and got a meal on the go. My first night under the stars in the middle of the country. This is what it's all about!
