... as they are all on the A and B roads. The lake side village of Hallstatt was only 60km away so didn't take very long, even though the road was not a main one. It wasn't 10am yet and the temps were well into the 30's, the temptation was high to grab our towels and swimmers and jump into the Hallsätter See. Again, crystal clear waters, the closest we got was Pete wading in to ankle height. We walked back down from where we parked towards the town, which appeared to have ...

... I had booked business class on the train. Because I actually wanted to find the right car this time, I asked a lot of questions of the folks at the OBB office in the Klagenfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station) before I left this morning, and it was also with the help of an Oklahoma woman who had it already figured out and showed me where the train maps were on the platform to know which place to stand for your car. ...

... F1, with cars, and an awesome ske-eletrics track, amongst other things. After a quick browse here and of a couple of shops, we went to find dinner, and had the most incredible meal - pork cutlet with posh potatos and a garlic sauce, with lovely fresh bread on the side - it was lush! ... down to check out and go and find the tram to get us to the train station. Fortunately, we got on the correct tram and got to the right train platform safely and remarkably easily.
There isn't much to say about the journey, other than that we sat on the train for just over 4 hours, snoozing and gazing out of the windows at the passing hills and towns, with some really lovely views ...

... was fantastic so we were able to sit outside and enjoy our sandwiches without discomfort. Our final morning, we awoke at 5am to drive back to Vienna in order to return our rental car and arrive on time for our bus to Ljubljana. After getting on the bus we realized that it also stopped in Graz, right in front of our hostel (so, 4 hours driving wasted). However, you win some you lose some. We are excited to be on our way to Slovenia!
