      ... the war the camp was then used to house 25,000 Germans who awaited war time trials. The barracks got destroyed by fire in 1962 and only the first of 36 buildings that housed over 300 prisoners was rebuilt to show the cramped living conditions.       ... us being weird). We also put one on for lees oma & grandad. The hotel room was massive!! It has 2 double beds, a single bed and a large desk in the room and there is still room to have a party! We're about 10 mins walk into town past about 20 shoe shops. Austrians must like a good shoe?!       ... than it used to be), much rest and relaxation, and had the pleasure of spending each day with Emma and Tim, who is now a friendly and very endearing two year old. We played - and Tim taught me how to play football like a pro.

There were so many volunteers that the government had to put in requests for no more people to register and respond. During a European soccer competition that was jointly hosted by Switzerland and Austria a few years ago, the Swiss volunteers were sent to Austria to learn how to be 'as nice as them'.
