    ... meal - the food was good and what everyone wanted, the place was warm and pleasantly noisy, and the mixture of English, Italian and German that the wait staff used helped to relax us, since I think it is much easier to communicate when everything gets jumbled and clearly everyone wants to communicate but is not stressing the grammar. The house beer was better at the GastHaus, but that was the only negative.

    I can't explain it but the snow and the fact that it was still snowing made me very, very happy. I couldn't help but stick my hand out the window and try and catch some snowflakes.
