... some cool pictures and stuffed animal. Outside we saw some really cute little creatures eating whatever had been put out for them.
We eventually reached the end of the trail and found out that the bus back to Canela was not for another hour and a half! The park was now totally empty apart from us so we went back to our favourite spot and ate our snacks. The bus back cost us R2.20 each (much cheaper than the taxi here!)
All that walking had made us hungry ...
... stayed here for 3 nights. It was an opportunity for people to relax.
And relax we did. Apart from one day where we visited a local attraction of Mini Mundo (Mini World) we practically did nothing else apart from eat lots and drink while watching every game of the World Cup.
... but more on that later.
We stayed in quite a nice hotel called Pousada Sonho Meu (which means Hotel My Dream), where we got a three person room (but could easily sleep 5, and Gen was ecstatic to have her own bathroom again. It was pretty cold (the coldest place weŽd been so far... they had had snow a couple of days before), but our hotel had heating so we were just able to survive.
In Gramado, we visited the Lagoa Negro (Black Lake), where there were swan ...
... much damage. It must have been the previous owner of the car as I believe Clarice or I would have smelled it if we would have burned that much rubber! Anyway, we stuck around the shop until 6:00 when he was all finished. Other customers came and went and one local guy brought his truck shortly after we got started on our car. He was waiting on "our"mechanic and he said he will wait around all day if needed, but he only lets this man touch his vehicle.

It is true. There is a town in Brazil that looks a lot like Switzerland. People there produce chocolate, they are rich and have nice big house, some of them are "chalets".
