    ... worse there.
We can hardly see the top of the cathedral. Inside we admire the very modern-looking depictions of the Virgin Mary, who seems to have had her hair done by the salon just down the road.

This evening we splurge and visit Trip Advisor’s No. 1 restaurant in the region, Gourmand Bistro. The owner runs this and a small guest house, only opening the restaurant on Saturday evenings. Flavio, the brother of our host, plays keyboard at the establishment.

... always a good sign. Wehad a bottle of wine and both had a different pasta which came in huge pots and there was a salad buffet too. It cost us R90 in total but was very nice.
When we got back, we got online and started looking at the buses to our next stop Minas and places to stsay. There were no buses direct from Canela and it was hard to find information on tye best way to get there. We would have to go to Montevideo first but the website wouldnt let us book ...

... airport was closed due to heavy fog.

We landed at the next nearest airport which was two hours drive away. Our crew was able to make contact mid air with our ground crew and our coaches were able to meet us at the airport and take us to our 4 hotels in Gramado.

    We left 30 degree ...
