Yes, it had to be done and we did it. We finished our list of things to see and departed Lahr this morning but not before checking out where the Canadian Casserne was (my work place, the schools and the CANEX grocery store/department store). ... we managed to find a comfortable downtown hotel (don't remember it). We stepped out for some food, I had goulash soup and MJ had flammenkucheen. We shared a nice big salad. Tomorrow when we can see what is what we will do some exploring and capture the sights. We will of course report on the old stomping grounds!!!!

So enjoy some flicks of the day. Night all!

When we got up this morning the tops of the mountains were clear and we could see the tops ...

... The only drawback - the guide spoke German. And German only. They did provide us English translation sheets, but that kind of negates the need for a guide... Beautiful castle in a beautiful setting. Next stop, Hohenzollern Castle. With only a name to go by, navigating here was a little difficult. But eventually, after a few unexpected detours, we found it! Not that you could miss it. Hohenzollern dominates the landscape perched high above the surrounding landscape. Another 19th ...
