Took a train to Arnhem for the day and spent it walking around the old part of the city. Very quaint with narrow streets strictly for walking traffic only, lined with a wide variety of shops. We even came across a small furniture shop where they were making solid oak kitchen cupboards ..... Beautiful! ... the good old times, that shop personnel wouldn't bother too much and stuck to a simple Goedemorgen (good morning) and Tot ziens (see you later). They couldn’t care less about your day. Of course, they still don’t care, and I guess I better get used to the new ways of the old world. It could be worse.
