We had a walk thro the pine forests and a dip in the sea - Matt choosing to sketch and perfect his stone-skimming instead before getting the last boat back at 6pm. The boat load arriving was full of the young, beautiful glitterati from Cannes clearly coming for a wedding or other party, making us feel even more dowdy tourists compared to their Armani suits and designer dresses! Happy tho not to have the stress of keeping up with the pack - it must be exhausting!!

He described his furniture as 'modern, minimalist and functional', and showed us a picture of one of his chairs made from optical grade acrylic which was worth E35 000!
