      ... have it downstairs, that doesn't seem to be the case. Perched at the top of the stairs is the "best" reception, with difficulties downloading photos or anything other than basic email.

      There is a real log fire in the lounge, and the landlord promises to clean it out daily and restart it for us late afternoon. Definitely a plus. Know how much work goes into maintaining one of those.

      ... and it took us the two hours as expected which also included the taxi ride.

      Once we got back we had some dinner. We went to one of the best places to get chips called Fritzland. They fry them twice. Very yum. We ended up deciding on some chips that are directly on a a baguette with stake, vegetables and tartare sauce. it was delicious.

      Did i say best chips ever. They were.

      ... going for a walk I learnt how too speak to ducks an I also learnt about how the gates worked. So one side of the gate had more water in it and the midlle and end didn't have as much so when a boat came they had a remote to open the closest gate an close the furtherst gate to fill the middle then they would close the first gate the open he second then they would carry on. My impression of Belgium was that it was clean and very old ...

      ... could be an experience. However, for day one it was a nice introduction, in the rain!! We walked into town which was two streets and is very small.
