    Our guide in Rio Grande was right, north of him the lush beautiful countryside begins. We visited a Rain Forest, unfortunately it rained. But what could we expect.     ... br> a real bottleneck but made it with 15 mins to spare. My connecting bus was a
    few mins late arriving but then the staff took a 20 min break with no concern
    for the schedule, the passengers or the connections they would miss – i.e. my
    12.15 bus from Itapema. It, surprisingly, had not been late and was gone so had
    to wait for the (late, of course) 1pm bus. Some 2.5 hours later eventually ...

    ... again & discovered I could have got a boat for 5 less from a different pier – they kindly gave me more good advice on things to do – rent a canoe & walk south over the rocks, neither of which I did, but had a good walk along the beaches there to dry off from my swim on the island – the beaches there were small and weedy but was hot after my jungle walk.

    ... Bombas – nobody sat in their big fat shiny empty cars was prepared to stop - a few even made the universal money sign – tight **** gits are so up themselves they don’t think about the poor/lacking bus service and it was Xmas – not a lot of loving thy neighbour going on there!

    my place was walkable from there and got to see most of Bombas beach, the well hidden & cute Ribeiro tucked between it and Bomb’ over ...
