Three Firsts and a Last
Today was our last day cycling in Holland, and we had three moments of excitement that we had so far avoided in the 2000+ km cyced by our family group. We had our first flat tire -- that was Dave. We had our first chain come off -- that was Denise (one of the French ladies) and we had our first over-the-handlebars crash -- that was Caroline. Fortunately there were no serious injuries. Caroline STILL prefers to use her front brakes.

Seeing Green In Amsterdam
... she was joking around until she ate it. She must have seen the shock on my face or realised herself that someone else had eaten that piece and she was eating someones leftovers. She spat everywhere and looked like she would be sick. It was very very funny! After Maddie sampled 50 other cheeses to get the taste out of her mouth we headed back to the hostel. We ate muesli and watched lords of dogtown before crashing for the night.

London to Amsterdam
Early wake up (one of the earliest on tour) this morning. As the tour departs from the Royal National Hotel we had to trek over with out luggage to get weighed and get on the bus. I had been a little nervous about the weight of my bag but came in at a wonderfully low 15kg's! Plenty of room for souvenirs! After everyone was on board we were on our way to Amsterdam.
Drive to Dover passed fairly quickly as Steve, the TM nattered on about hotels, optionals, places ...
