... drawing room and a few other rooms all set up with appropriate furnishings, plate etc. It was very well done - much more dilapidated and rustic than Versailles of course. We also got to walk around the potage/kitchen gardens which are extensive and very attractive.

We left Paris today and said goodbye to our friends. Hopefully it won't be another 20 years until we see them again. With our baggage (so glad we opted for carry-on only), we took the bus, then a local commuter train to Gare de Lyon, where we caught the high speed train (TGV) to Nice.
