    ... against Spain. We caught up with Andrew and Clive from Sydney and then walked from the hotel down to Arena da Baxiada (10 min walk).  It seemed like all the Spainish had already flown home and there was plenty of Aussie support and the locals were blending with their yellow and green Brazil colours.  Being a dead rubber, most of the locals were supporting the underdogs (i.e. s).  Like the Arena da Pantanal in Cuiaba, ...

    Curitiba is about 12 hours bus ride South of Rio. It's halfway between there and Iguazu so we wanted to break up the journey and try somewhere a bit different. Boy is it different. It's so cold here! We were warned to be fair, but then anywhere's cold compared to Rio. Yesterday, our first day, was cold, miserable and wet all day. It actually made me a bit homesick. A salad, bread, mussels, bread crumbed prawns, fish croquettes, battered fish fillets, more prawns this time in a sauce, deep fried banana stuffed with meat, followed by the stew itself with rice and beans.
