... day on the slopes, so she and Klaus headed off to the hospital to get her knee/calf checked out. Luckily nothing was torn or broken, just a pulled calf muscle, so she was back with us after having a day resting and icing her calf. We had visions of her being housebound with a torn calf muscle, like Paul, for the duration of her holiday. Thankfully that was not the case!

... week we babysat Lara, Ivy and Roxy which was great fun. In the afternoon we went skiing together. They are great skiiers! I was also asked to take a 13 year old boy out skiing and show him some more advanced stuff! Tomorrow Leo and I are babysitting one of the guests 5 year old son who is French! I think we're going to go sledging! My French is terrible so we'll see how it goes.. hehe.

the size of the cheese it kind of made sense. It was especially interesting
because French people eat a ton of cheese when they go skiing. We ate raclette
one night which is where you take a slice of cheese, melt it in a special
mechanism that sits on the table, and pour it over deli meat and potatoes.

... book for Philomena, the man in the box office, pointed out in French, that there was a VO alongside the movie title, or at least that is what we thought he was saying, it turns out what he was saying was that inspite of the programme indicating that the movie was VO, it was in fact, dubbed into French. Fortunately we had a vague idea about the movie, so were able to follow most of it. It was strange however to hear Judy Dench speak French.
... amazing day Maurice hadnt skied for a while so legs tired so down on 4 pm funicular which was crowded as lots of people leaving
With suit cases (saturday is change over day in all hotels) so funicular just left as it was full
No ski school so no ducklings
