    ... court was decorated as a cruise ship which was appropriate! Then to the runway park to see the planes jetting off....the power of Facebook let us see my friend Alyson's plane go off for her jolly holiday !! 2 hours till the alarm is going to kindly buzz at me so will attempt another ...

    ... after we had to use some old old old techniques to start the fecker, took me back a year or thirty. Nic Ling and I gave the euchre comp another try, but lost out to two guys who were on top form or have seriously bruised shins, they gave us a good kicking anyway..
    Now because what goes to Sapperfest, stays at Sapperfest, I cant really explain just how good these friends are, but Dave Mac did let me have my replacement ...

    ... unlimited soft drinks, 3 colours of wine or beer. Actually the wine was pretty dire, so after an exploratory glass, we stuck to beer for the rest of the week! The evening was accompanied by 2 older gentlemen on guitar and accordion, very accomplished musicians supposedly playing traditional Maltese music, but I wasn’t so sure when I recognised “My Way,” “Zorba’s Dance” and “Hava Nagila”!

    ... Rochdale the narrow boats were almost pushing their way through the floating rubbish. I don't understand Rochdale - the people I talked to were well aware of the mess but quite accepting of it. I wonder why they tolerate it, why don't they get off their butts and set up litter picking groups to sort the mess out - it wouldn't take much effort?
