The lanes around the village close by are very narrow as
they are in every village. One issue we
have had is the lack of anywhere to park the motorhome so that we can get out
and have a look at what they have to offer.
All the drivers we have encountered though have been so friendly and
courteous, waving us through in tight spots.

... in this part of the country the lovely romantic country lanes are very narrow and have lovely dry-stone walls both sides which you would not like to hit or scrape - so when a car approaches it is only by some miracle that a successful passing is accomplished.

... Michelle for dinner and we met them at a beautiful restaurant just opposite Carnegie Hall. We enjoyed a great time together with them.
When we came on stage for the performance we were very pleased to see the auditorium about 80% full - I will never forget seeing all the stalls and balconies filled with an appreciative audience.

Well it has finally arrived - tomorrow I set off for Canada. Big brother is taking me to the airport after mentioning to me that it only cost £4.95 on the train from Wigan NW Station to Manchester Airport. Really?? - we own a transport company FGS - am not faffing about on a train with luggage when there is a perfectly good vehicle to take me in ...
The next day we wanted to
try out some vegan cafes. Many are closed over the weekends which is annoying,
but there was one V Revolution that was open on Sundays and not too far a walk
from the main square. We had a special burger and a chick burger. Both were
nice, both were Frys brand…so nothing all that exciting really (we had read
that they served the ‘best’ burgers in the UK….well Frys brand is good ...
