We enjoyed a day going along the canal and both Derek and I had a turn at the helm under Peter's patient guidance. It was quite an experience going through a 2800yard tunnel and passing other boats in the darkness. We also went through two locks in both directions and learned how to open and close the lock gates. I was amazed how hard it was to do and take my hat off to Meagan who always gets the job of doing this while Peter handles the boat.
