        It's Not Easy Being Green

... San, told us if we are unsure, put it in the middle of the burnable waste bag to hide it. You see, we are required to use clear bags. If the trash pick-up people don't like how you are doing it, they will BRING IT BACK TO YOUR HOUSE!!!

I believe in recycling, but this is crazy! It has certainly made me more aware of how much waste goes into product packaging. I think more wrappers need to be edible.

Didn't look like that in the picture

        ... O Yeah!"
A small group gathered in the Housing Office and a bus picked us up, about 15 total. We took a 25 minute ride off-base, up a hillside, cute little houses along the way. We get to the top of this hill, nice view, sea breeze...but this townhouse, I'm not sure what to say. Ghetto is the first word that comes to mind. The first townhouse he shows us is a 4 bedroom. You walk ...

... some paper, we worked out they were fortunes, so naturally we all had a turn. You needed to shake a large metal tube containing sticks while making a wish after a few shacks you turned the tube up and shook it a bit to let a stick fall out, the stick then had a symbol on it and you needed to match it to the correlated draw and get your fortune. I was lucky enough to get best fortune, Rhys had good fortune, both Mum and Dad got regular fortune and poor old Nicola got bad fortune! We ...

... night all our feet hurt and I think the craziness of the whole week sunk in and we were dead exhausted!
The weekend is still very young but honestly I cannot wait for Monday! I can't wait to start working with the kids and getting to know their families. I just really think that this summer is going to open my mind up about a lot of things, and for that (and many other reasons) I feel really blessed to be here!

        Sending you all my love!
