... Not exactly the quiet contemplative experience we expected. We found a nice place for lunch. It was in a little lane just to the left of the Cathedral. Their lunch offering was a plate with a cup of onion soup, a piece of quiche, some salad and a small pot of vegetables, washed down with local beer. It was very nice, sitting in the sun. ... with much reverence. I took my shoes off to walk it and the stone floor was extremely cold. I felt quite at home and very relaxed while walking it. Because of the narrow width of each path most people only walked in and then walked directly out. There were a couple of women who walked it out but it was very difficult. ... piece of steak, some chops and snags will go down very nicely with a local red. I am given a large square piece of slate with salad in the middle surrounded by strips of raw beef and chicken along with tomato and mushrooms. Okay, maybe this is a tartare meal so I begin tucking into the raw beef when the waiter returns with hot slab of granite with a sterno fire underneath to keep it hot. Oaf Eric is foiled again.
