Nice room, nice hotel. Loved it. Easy distance to walk for good and easy to catch a taxi.

Start of the day. 36 degrees out.

If its desert it must be WET !

Just what I expected, rain in the Arabian Peninsula, which I expected to be dry. As we travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi the soil is sand (just like home) but nothing much growing. A glimpse of he Burj as we he'd south on multi lane freeway in pouring rain. Not a lot different to SE Asia to be honest as regards buildings and shops outside of any …

... Entrance for women is free and the party was held at the rooftop pool of a swish hotel. There were waiters walking around to take drinks and shisha orders and skinny girls in bikinis walking around with trays of (very strong) jelly shooters. Near the DJ is a dancefloor where water is rained down onto the dancers. People who aren't dancing or swimming can chill on the many sunloungers on the roof. It was quite an experience!

Hello my lovely readers! This is it, the last blog from Croatia. We will be home by midnight on January 16 after a 20-hour travel day (it will be 9am Saturday, here, UGH!). Five months both flew by and seemed an eternity of new experiences, traveling, and insights. I can't say I will miss Croatia but then again I didn’t miss the U.S. while I was here. I guess that’s one of the benefits of all that yoga! I’m pretty good and being where I am, in the moment. I am trying ...

... have tickets for today's practice but may give it a miss as four straight days may be too much. No real plans so we just head off in the car. I did hope to do some diving today but as it was the only part of this trip left to me to sort out, it never got done and nobody can accommodate me at a few hours notice, oh well, maybe in Oman. We head of to the corniche, which is a river / beach area, after driving up and down for a bit, we eventually get parked and find an underpass to the ...
