Our mission trip is winding down, but it is always sad at the end as we know we will soon be saying goodbye to our friends. This year's mission has been different, as we have already experienced a few goodbyes. Last Thursday, Deb returned home. On Saturday, Bob and Mark did. And then on Monday, Erin did. Every two days our team changed and we had different dynamics. As each member left it was a ...

We passed by another few churches before arriving at the incomplete church in the centre of town, overlooking the main praca. We got together after lunch to play a game with some of the professors and others at the project, we had a very nice variety ...

... Brazil is that it always feels like we are coming home. We are treated so warmly that even though we only have seen most of these folks last year, it feels very comfortable returning. The children weren't at the project today since it was Saturday, but Joao, who is one of the project kids, but also the stepson of the futbol coach was hanging with us all day. He has grown quite a bit in a year. He loves to through an American football with Superman (aka Ryan). ...

... relaxing pleasant square surrounded by museums (none of which we went to). There is also a huge park that was perfect for us to run around; although our fitness is now appalling so we really struggled - but it was great to stretch the legs. Even the homeless people here are nicer than elsewhere. Rather than sitting on their asses all day they tend to wash all the cars that are parked in their 'patch' and then live off the tips that come in when the owners return. What ...
