... site which is aimed at families, so there were a lot of children and young people around ( shock, horror!) Luckily there is a separate area just for MH's which was peaceful and quiet. The site is across the road from the sea at Ravenoville Plage, so it got very misty and foggy and we began to wonder if we had done the right thing.........

... TO is not in the middle of town, and when we did eventually find it, it had moved, to a site even further out and closed at noon.. Guess what time it was by then ? - 12.10pm!

... most of all to charge the MH leisure battery, so we can't always stay in MH Aires.
Also in MH Aires, you are not supposed to put up awnings or tables and chairs, so when it is really hot this can be a bit restrictive.
So we were heading to a municipal campsite which only charges 16e in peak season. ...

... for the Eurostar. As it turned out we needn't have rushed, as our train had been cancelled due to the rail strike! We had heard mention of the strike but it had not occurred to us to check weather we would be affected! The information assistants at the station were very helpful, making arrangements and changing our tickets to other trains to get us across the country to get the Eurostar. Of course we would miss our scheduled train, but should be able to exchange ...

... touristy which was nice. We went to La Charite sur Loire where the Aire was actually full, a rare occurrence. We parked by the river and went off in search of bread which took a while, although it was Sunday afternoon. Very pleasant town with a big church. Almost every second shop was an old book shop which is why it is called 'the Ville de Livre'. After finding some excellent bread we went back and made sandwiches, went for another walk around the island we were on, and then drove ...
