... to make the prayer call. Because of this we had to have a very early tea 6.30, so it was the earliest and fastest meal we have had lol.

Daz and I left our group and walked the streets for a couple of hours as all we seem to do is sit n the bus...and eat and drink! It wa really fascinating to watch the restaurant all set up with set menus and plates covered in glad wrap waiting at tables and people coming to sit and wait ...

... on my Tenere. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures as I wanted to look like I knew what I was doing and not get told to go back by someone, also fuel was getting low so I just wanted to focus on riding and getting to the next fuel station.

Another highlight of the day's riding was the western side of Lake Beysehir - it felt so remote and quiet here. I didn't see any cars for the whole 50+km section. ...

... It was a separate 3 lira to take a look and it was quite magical. Reminds me why I love F&E is to explore sites without people. Cautiously walking into an empty dark house to explore what was inside. This one was requested by the sultan and so it was more grand with a garden and a mosque.

By nightfall we reached and checked into lovely hilton. Although there was a lot of facilities the room itself was too comfortable with its dream bed?

The first week here has been full of excitement! There are 40 people here, so it's taken a lot of time to get to know this huge group of new friends.
