    ... the tiller to me and went along the gunnel to fend us off the boat nearest to us. It became apparent to me very quickly that going forward was no longer an option so I put us in reverse and backed away into clear water where I put Charis in forward gear and got up a bit of speed which took us away from the line of boats and we managed to get past them without further hindrance. We think that the boat we (gently) hit was unoccupied.

    ... you probably wouldn't have decided to buy it, despite how much you actually enjoyed eating it? So what does this all have to do with anything? Well it really makes a whole lot of sense.     Slight hiccup at the check-in counter as the attendant tells me my luggage at 33kgs is 3 kilos overweight. Brief moment of concern until I remind her that she has not factored in the extra 15kgs that Malaysian allows for sporting equipment. Thanks Malaysian.     ... was made to the curator Adrian Alston who not only ensured a game of cricket but put the finishing touches on the clubhouse by flying the St George Cross of England and the Blue Ensign of Australia from the rooftop.

    Back at the hotel we had a few final drinks with our team-mates as the Queensland contingent will be off at 5:30 in the morning as we have an earlier flight than those returning to the southern states.

    Hot and sweaty walk along a humid Severn Way from Bewdley up to just outside Worcester. Around 15 miles. Highlights included an ice-cream in Stourport and filling up my water bottle in the Inn just up the river from where the road crosses at Holt Heath. The bar-maid told me I was on the Wychavon Path.
