Choosing my rucksack was a lengthy process that resulted in the purchase of my Berghaus 45 litre + ...

... to covent garden. The theatres look spectacular, broadway's and musicals left right and centre! From there we headed to the transport museum which was fascinating how London has developed such an effective public transport system, but somehow whilst developing theirs over the past 150 years they couldn't share any ideas with Melbourne? The evening we walked down to Trafalgar Square, which was lit up with a giant Christmas tree and a large group of carollers ...

... and the girls got the urge to shop so we caught the tube to Oxford street where we hit peak hour except in London peak hour continues well into the evening. We finished the day with some surprisingly good pre made curries which we purchased from Sainsbury's with only 4 minutes to spare before 8pm closing and reheated at our flat accompanied by the 2002 vintage red Dennis had given us in Cornwall. Cheers Dennis and Audrey, if your reading ...
