... made our way to The Emirates Stadium, the home of Arsenal Football (soccer) Club. But first, I had forgotten to give the apartment keys to the wife before she had left Lord's so a detour to the London eye to meet up and hand them over was required. Such is the quickness of the London tube system this detour was not as time consuming as you might have thought.... ... Junior, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, etc, Juls would have loved to update the kids wardrobes, but today's budget didn't include 120pound for a Burberry scarf) we went down to the Food Hall and then struck a few dilemmas - choice and cooked versus ready-to-cook. After anxiously wandering, we found the salad bar and had a caesar with chicken made up to keep the kids happy. That went down like a treat.

... through our errands and arrived home with enough food to last a good three or four days. I think regular trips to the store will be the norm given the limited space in our fridge, but thankfully we are within walking distance of a Sainsbury's, a Tesco Express, a Morrison's, a Londis, and about a dozen local shops, so I certainly won't mind heading out more often.

tomorrow appears to be Madame taussads wax works for everyone but me. I think I'm going to take myself off to the British museum and indulge in my passion for history. I believe there's a big Egyptian section there .. Along with a few other bits and pieces....

and finally,I am the best tour guide - I have managed to get us around London with very little trouble! Just don't ask mark for his opinion....
