First day of our trip and pinching ourselves. Will be traveling with our longtime friends Ben and Maureen Judkins for the next couple of months. Spent this afternoon exploring bicycle trails and hiking to see the two waterfalls in the park. Took Molly on the hike with us and she loved swimming in the waterfall pool. As you drive along the trails, you can park to get out to hike around the park and monuments. Biking and Horseback riding also welcomed here.

What has become more obvious the more I drive in the South, is how much an impact losing the war had on their economy.. It devastated many thriving towns. Fredericksburg population took over 100 years to reach pre war levels. Memphis survived due to cotton and then was devastated by the ML King assassination as many businesses left. ...
