I was very appreciative of the amazing hospitality she showed me and hope to visit her again soon. Left New Orleans this morning (Wednesday) a little after 9:15 am. It is noteworthy as this our first day of us driving primarily north which means we are heading home. Today is just a driving day with our destination being Great Smokey Mountain National Park where we will rendezvous with Dulcey's Dad. The drive up was torture. It's worth it.

There wasn't much of a view from Rock City, considering the fog that day. A poncho or rain jacket also would have been a good idea. (They do have some on hand, but they're the super cheap ones like on Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls.)
