... the hill. Unfortunately visibility even worse today so after the effort of making our way up the hill we could not even see the water. Great villa's though.
Fast boat back, ferry home and we enter our warm apartment at approx 7pm, in time to cook dinner.

Well from the outside of city there is a breathtaking view of the upper town but once you are in it I woudn't say the same. Still there is plenty to see wandering around the streets and lots of lovely churches to explore. But it's definitely not the best medieval town in Italy.

... the anxiety factor increased again, as we had to disembark with our 5 bags, and find the next train to Milan leaving at 12:31p.m. We had just 20 minutes to
find and get onboard our second train which caused a heighten sense of urgency as we dashed through the Basel main station like contestants on "The Amazing Race". We located our train and car, climbed onboard, and finally relaxed for our 3 1\2 hour train ride ...

Took the Metro from train station to the Duomo.

DUOMO: Hardly any people there at 9:00 am.—great for taking pictures of the outside. This massive, richly ornamented Gothic cathedral is the fifth largest cathedral in Europe with 3,500 statues, 135 spires, 5 bronze doors. This is our first time to Europe and we are awe struck! ...
