... Old Mate's sudden change of mind. Had this happened at the start of this journey (see first couple of stories for this blog) I probably would have started crying at the thought of being solo and yet another "let down", but having recently regained some of my confidence, I feel like I have options and can work something out for myself. We always enjoy the days when the ship is in port, because the decks are empty! We know that Bodrum is a beautiful beach town, but we have been to so many fabulous beaches, we decided to skip it. I know that we will be back to Turkey, so we will have another opportunity to visit both Bodrum and Kusadasi.

A room with a fine view, high above the whitewashed buildings of Bodrum, a castle from a turned back time of Crusaders and holy wars and a poorly Gina. From last night's long black dress to this morning's illness. I have administered a cure. I sat and read Orhan Pamuk and ate breakfast alone. It was cold! This was not supposed to be. Bodrum is a town that looks best from a distance. Up close I mingled with buses and the tourists and ...
