Today we went on a daytrip with a Chinese tour group to Xitang - an ancient Chinese town which is dubbed the Venice of China. They filmed mission impossible 3 there. The tour guide did not stop speaking on the microphone for the entire trip. Probably annoying if you could understand what he was saying as Jiedi could. Getting back to Shanghai, we walked along Nanjing Road (a famous shopping mall) and picked up 6 mini dun-tarts (egg tarts) for 5RMB!, that’s less than $1AUD ($1 = 5.5RMB) along the way. Yummo! They were later, very much enjoyed with a much needed cuppa when we got ‘home’.
In all it was a very exhausting yet lovely day out for what actually started out as a very muddled up day!
11/6 Started trip after school. Luckily traffic wasn't as bad as I expected, following GPS directions, we arrived at Wuzhen west gate tourist center within expected time.
