    Christmas was really nice. I knew when I left home in March that I would be away for Christmas, at the time I thought I'd be in the blazing heat and sunshine of southern Thailand. There was a speech from the boss of Lopair, then a speech from the Lopair host, and then each family had to give a speech "sharing their cultural experience of having a foreigner in their house".
