      This time last year, I didn't know anything about the Aeolian Islands. I'd known of Stromboli, but had only a very hazy idea of its location. And I'd not even heard of Lipari.       After lunch with family we headed up with a first class, drive up to the top, locals pass with Andrea and Barbara to the Tindari to have a wander and view the old church which has been closed for nearly 100 years as it is perched precariously on the clifftop.
