... and practices. So the museum had a lot of crazy stuff in it that was completely foreign to me. I sat down on the steps to collect myself after it was done and I THOUGHT I packed everything up.

On my way home, I guess I forgot to zip up my bag and my camera fell out. I was glad my wallet and passport didn't fall out too. I ...

The few hostels that do exist have reviews that would turn most people away given another more attractive alternative...i.e. one of the many low cost hotels available (and some of these are eye wateringly bad and expensive). After a couple of days of energetic stuff we needed to rest an unwind so we chose Jakarta to be the place to recharge and plan the next part of our journey. As we have learned already Jakarta is ...

    (29) Krakatoa Trip

... the volcano grows at 13cm per week but that thankfully the next eruption isn't due until 2014. He also told us that his village (Carita) often has earthquakes when the volcano is more active. After some time on the ridge we began our descent back to the beach, and as we did, the rain started though it wasn't very heavy. We sat under a tarpolen and ate our provided pack lunches at the seaside. We each had a full polystyrene box of delicious nasi goreng complete with ...
